Great Help 4 out of 5
It's not "Cliff Notes for Chemistry" but it ties in well with the Zumdahl text. I have found it helpful and would recommend it as a reference source if you're taking a college general chemistry course with the Zumdahl text. Chemistry: Student Solutions Guide, Seventh Edition 5 out of 5
This book is excellent for working through problems in regard to the text book. The odd numbered problems from the companion text book are answered in this answer book. What makes this book essential for study is that it goes further than just giving the answer as is provided in the companion text book. It shows how you arrive at the answer. All the math steps are provided. Okay textbook 3 out of 5
The book is full of valuable information. There are some nice diagrams on certain subjects. In particular covalent bonding has a good explanation with lots of great 3d pictures in the book. However this is not a good introductory chemistry book. I think that if you plan to use this book you should already have a general background in chemistry. Like many others have said in their reviews, this is a book written by chemists for chemists. Not a good book for the novice chemist. I am a pre-med student and this book is a good book to keep to review for the MCAT down the road. So if you already know a good deal about chemistry then this book is for you and will make a great reference for future classes. perfect condition fast mailing!!! 5 out of 5
Well this book was 150 at the college bookstore i founded here for a great price and in perfect condition as describe by the seller, i did had one page loose but it was just the first one ( nothing that tape can" fix)but the seller also described that inconvenient when I was buying the book. Thank you for your honesty is great. Great! 5 out of 5
I am currently enrolled in a general chemistry class at my university. The textbook that I'm using for my class is also by Zumdahl.
The supplemental student solutions guide has been a big help!
It helps me check my answers and helps me solve the confusing problems step by step.
However, one setback is that only the odd problems' answers and explanations are given.
