Vitamin E's antioxidant properties help protect vital tissues throughout the body against the ravages of free radicals. Our high-absorption softgels feature 100% natural-source vitamin E.
Good price, natural vitamin E acetate 5 out of 5
This is the natural d-alpha tocopheryl acetate form, which is the best for long-lasting shelf life. It is "natural" because it is the "d-" form, not the artificial "dl-" form. The acetate form has a long shelf-life because the acetate ester (a small side group) prevents oxidation while in the gel cap. Once in the stomach, the acetate is cleaved off and the stomach absorbs pure natural vitamin E. The price on this product is excellent, and it is one of a whole family of vitamin E products available. I recommend this product for a daily oral dose of vitamin E.
If you want natural vitamin E to spread on the skin as an ointment to prevent inflammation, for example, to treat burns or poison ivy/oak rash, you'll need a different product. The reason is the acetate form is mostly inactive on the skin. A good product for treating the skin is "mixed tocopherols" which is the natural "d-" form of the 4 tocopherols without the addition of acetate.
However, overall, this natural vitamin E acetate product is excellent for oral use: a) it's inexpensive, and b) it has a longer shelf life than the non-acetate form.
good price - is the natural form of vitamin E not synthetic 4 out of 5
This is the D-alpha tocopheryl not D1-alpha so it is the natural form which is the more preferred form. It is also very inexpensive compared to some other products. misleading product description 1 out of 5
it was writen in product features: comprised of 100% all-natural d-alpha tocopherols. But actually the vitamin I received was tocopheryl, as was writen in the label of the botle. I consider this a disonest practice, to advertise something and sell another.
