For Nerf Snipers 3 out of 5

As far as durability, the bow itself is a 5. The arrows arrive only slightly bent and knicked and wobble with any resistance. Holding the bow in the left hand, aim slightly to the left of the target at longer distance. That said, if you want to be a sniper in a NERF war, this is the weapon for you. Slow to reload, accurate, powerful, long-range, and silent.

Awesome Set, Extra Arrows Recommended 5 out of 5

I got this for my 10 year old special needs son. It took him a little time to learn how to hold it and aim and pull back and shoot, etc.. but he got the hang of it and can do it and LOVES it. It shoots so far we have lost a few arrows into the woods. It's amazing how far he can shoot it, or anyone. It's sure fun. It helps teach him aim and how to hold the bow and arrow at the same time, and pull back. Although they are little skills, they are big ones for him. Thus I feel it does have that educational value to it. His hand eye coordination also is helped when he plays and aims it. The arrow is soft, so if it hits you it does not hurt. We did loose a few in the tree's but on windy days they do fall down. My son is very rough with his toys, and we have owned this 3 months now and its still like new. He definately loves it as do I. We did get extra arrows just to have more around in case they end up in the woods and we can't locate them. None have broke or not flown, we just got the extra to have on hand and play with more then 3 at a time. The arrow holder is nice, he straps it around his back and runs around the yard with them. Alot of fun and so far the best arrow set I have found that actually works well and is durable.

Frickin' amazing - dominate your office's Nerf Wars 5 out of 5

I thought I had reached the top of the Nerf Wars food chain with the purchase of my Longshot. The problem is that eventually all weapons lose their intimidation factor, and the hordes of people wielding little Mavericks were willing to take the hits to get in close so they have a chance to get me.

Enter the Surefire Compound Bow. They advertise 100 feet, and this will easily deliver on that range and more. It hits with a resounding THUD when shot completely across the length of my office. In fact, my problem is that I feel a little guilty sometimes hitting people at triple the distance that their little guns can manage. It's good that I can deal well and quickly with guilt.

The intimidation factor is back. It doesn't hurt that this bow is completely silent. No telltale sounds from loading the darts, or even when firing. People can't tell the shot is coming until they are being knocked over as if the God of Thunder himself has struck.

A couple of practical points:

1 - The back string is useless at best and, at worst, hinders your aim. Fold it out of the way or remove it entirely. All the power comes from the rubber bands at the front of the bow.

2 - The arrows are made of foam and have a soft head. That being said, a hard shot at close range can yield yelps and whimpers from your opponents. DO NOT SHOOT THIS AT CRY-BABIES. You should also probably be careful of head shots.

3 - You get three shots, so make them count. There are 3-packs of arrows for sale, but they are always sold out.

4 - When going for distance attacks in an office, it helps to kneel when taking your shot. This gives you a higher arc range.

5 - If you are scared of hitting someone in the head at long range, aim in front or above of them. The fright factor from the noise of the impact is enough to reinforce your message of dominance.

Don't buy this junk toy! 1 out of 5

This bow is a a piece of crap. Spend your money on something else, not on this. The "feathers" on the back of the arrow get caught on the rubberbands in the front.
As a adult i can barely pinch the back of the arrow and pull all the way back to shoot it. This is not worth buying.

Great Toy! 5 out of 5

We bought this for both of our sons for Christmas! They love it! No arrows broken yet!!
