Editorial Review: This is an additional RF transmitter for the NGHP 433.92 MHz. RF Remote Control Extender. It allows you to use multiple remotes off of one receiver base. This is only the RF transmitter; it does not have the receiving base. *RF range will very depending upon the layout and construction of your home. Included battery is NiMH. Note: The RF signals sent from the transmitter will not directly control SAT receivers or other A/V equipment which receive RF signals. The RF transmitter operates on a different frequency, 433.92 MHz, and will only "talk" to the 433.92 MHz RF base station.

I have the original complete Transmitter unit, and found that when the battery needs to be recharged, it is an inconvienence waiting for it to charge, so I decided to order an addtional Transmitter battery, so I could have one charged and ready at all times. The second one does not work at all, and I diddnt know it until we went to change the battery. the first time I thought I maybe didnt have it in the charger correctly, so we tried it again, and NO....it does not work. I dont understand how it wouldnt work, and now all the packing is long gone and I cant return it.
DONT BUY a second battery, just buy another complete unit I guess.

This is a great product. It turns any standard IR remomte into a RF remote. It works perfectly and as advertised. I purchased this transmitter to convert a second remote as the original product worked so well. Incredible technology at a reasonable price.

I have 3 remotes to control various components though out the house. For the most part these work great. They should indicate that this also will work for a AA battery.
