Summary: Helped with knee pain
Comment: Schiff's Move Free has been a staple in my house for the past five months. My elderly mother suffered a very serious car accident a few years ago. One of the long term effects has been pain and stiffness in her knees. The pain would keep her up at night and limit her mobility during the day. No analgesics that she took seemed to help.
I discovered the Schiff Move Free Advanced (with the red label) on a website and ordered a two week sample. She felt a difference in a week. Within two weeks she was able to sleep through the night without the pain in her legs waking her up. Since that time she hasn't gone more than two days without taking the product.
She used the Move Free Advanced for four months with continual improvement. She did tell me that on days that she forgot to take the product, that she could tell a difference. A month ago a Doctor told her to try the formula with MSM (the green bottle). She tried it and did not like it as much. She said she felt a difference and that the other formula was more effective. She also did not like that she had to take more pills of the MSM formula in the green bottle.
I had her try the newest formula, the Advanced formula with MSM and Vitamin D. Within a couple of days she said she felt a difference again. The results of this formula were closer to the original Advanced formula that she tried with the red bottle. She liked that it included the MSM that her doctor recommended. So far, this blue bottled formula seems to give her the best combination of relief.
I would recommend this product for anyone suffering joint pain and stiffness. I can see a difference in the way my mother functions and walks. I see a difference in her ability to sleep pain free. It does seem costly at about $30 for a bottle, however the improvement in the quality of life it's offered to my mother has been tremendous.

Summary: Use with extreme caution!
Comment: After two weeks of explosive diarrhea, back pain, abdominal distension, a 6 pound weight loss and lack of sleep, I finally looked at what I consume every single day and discontinued all of it, even changing my water source. I'm in my first 24 hours "post-Move Free" and can't report a total reversal yet, but the only thing new in my ingestion is that product. As another poster commented, I have regularly taken glucosamine and chondriotin and it didn't occur to me that a change in formulation could be at the root of this incredible change in my body.
It is my nature to look at what I might be doing that's causing illness rather than going to the doctor right away, and I surely feel for those who went through costly testing because of this product. As always, we have to look out for ourselves.

Summary: A great product for people whom don't suffer the 'explosive' side effect
Comment: Some background to start. I am an avid tennis player, 30 y/o male in reasonably good shape, I exercise every day and try to play tennis with former college players 2-3x per week. At 16, I had my medial meniscus removed due to a bad tear, at 23 I had the lateral meniscus of the same knee removed due to another tear (yes, I know, and I'm not quitting tennis).
THE UPSIDE: I have been using this product for about a year now on the advice of brother (phd in physical therapy) whom said there was not enough research but it was worth a shot. If I do not take it for a week, my knee is stiff and sore like it had been previously, after about 2 months of initially taking it, my knee has no pain during or after playing. I recently decided to try the target brand copy of Osteo bi-flex due to price and within a week, the knee pain is back. For my particular scenario, this seems to work and it doesn't seem to be a placebo effect being that I notice the knee pain before I remember that I have forgotten taking the pills while travelling. I won't be using any other brand after my frugal experiment.
THE DOWNSIDE: After a full year I was fairly confident to recommend this to others that suffer from stiff knees and joint pain and know of two friends (one 35, in ok shape but could lose 20-30 lbs, the other, my father 60, in shape and walks everyday for exercise) who have used it. The younger one saw a noticable improvement in knee stiffness when walking up and down stairs, my father unfortunately suffered from the bowel movements other reviewers have mentioned. So, my opinion is that if you are able to use the product without the side effects, it is worth trying out (I would suggest going through one bottle, if there is not a difference within that time, I would not assume you will see a benefit).

Summary: Like Public Health Doc Diarrhea Requiring Hospitalization
Comment:
Be careful with this formula. If you try it watch for Explosive Diarrhea. I got so dehydrated from the diarrhea I was hospitalized for three days to get fluids in balance and my kidneys almost shut down. Be aware of all symptoms after starting this product and discontinue immediately if gastro intestinal distress occurs.

Summary: This works for me
Comment: After taking the 2 pills twice daily to start, I did have a noticeable improvement in my knees. It didn't cure a sprain any faster, but has eased the soreness in my knee joints. I've also noticed an improvement in my shoulders which used to ache at night.
