Good blender at a resonable price! 4 out of 5
Nice blender I think.. Seems to have lots of settings, speeds, etc., and does a fine job in mixing drinks with ice! I'd seen the recommendation from Cooks Magazine, and though this model is not the one
mentioned, I think it's close enough. I got the stainless base, and only wish it had been in brushed nickel and not so shiny. However, I do like the heavy glass, and the ease of selecting the speed. My only complaint, though minor, is that the lid seems mighty flimsly compared to the rest of the machine. I'd suggest NOT to fill too full with liquids and start at the highest speed, as it will leak and spurt around the lid on top. Start slow, and then increase the speed.
Very powerful blender 5 out of 5
We haven't had this blender very long, but it seems to really make great smoothies. Blows the doors off our old one, which was a Braun powermax. It is a bit loud, but I've never expected to own a quiet blender. The all metal drive system feels very sturdy. The plastic components on the Braun one broke a couple of times. Overall, the thing does what it's supposed to do, and does it much better than I expected.

I purchased this blender on 5/21/10. Though this is my first Oster blender, it is by far not my first blender. But after comparing the looks, features, capabilities & price of Oster blenders against other brands I decided to purchase this one.
As for the looks, it is a beautiful looking appliance, especially for my kitchen where stainless steel & black reign.
The features in this blender are exactly what I was looking for, since my last blender did not have an ice crusher,& being able to store the cord is important to me.
The capabilities so far are up to my demands, it makes the best fruit smoothies, with no lumps and real quick in a matter of seconds.
The price was within the range I had budgeted for this appliance.
However, remember that this blender comes with a glass jar, which makes it heavier to lift when full and also needs more attention when cleaning it.....and so two months later as I was filling the glass jar in the sink with soap suds it accidentally tipped over & broke...:( I have replaced the glass jar, but wonder why can't these blender jars be made of plexi-glass to avoid breakage...just a thought...I do still love my blender...:)

This is a good blender for a modest price. It has a glass jar which is something of a rarity these days considering the low price. There are numerous speed selections which all work as expected. The blender is attractive if one wants to leave it on the counter top. It has a feeling of sturdiness. All in all, this is one nice blender and the price is right. I have used it numerous times and it performs well.

I broke my last Oster blender so I replaced it with this one. I love it! And the canister is wider making it bigger and easier to see contents better
