Does not fit in my walls 3 out of 5
All reviews tell us about the width of the wall, in my case the door frame works for the width range specified in the product, but the thickness of my walls is 8.5" (I live outside the US) and it won't stay put because it works for 6". Please measure your walls beafore buying. Iron Gym - Good Product 4 out of 5
Easy to assemble and put up. Works exactly like it said it would. Does everything needed for P90X. Holds my weight up well with no slipping off. The only bad thing is that it will leave a black mark on your door frame where the rubber rests. Not a big deal though and you can just paint over it. Other than that the product is as advertised and works really well for P90X. Fantastic pull-up solution 5 out of 5
I've owned the Iron Gym and the Iron Gym Extreme and I have to say this blows the former out of the water. I had trouble doing wide-grip pull-ups with the normal Iron Gym because of the width of my door, but the additional grips on this model solve that problem and provide you with a bunch of new options for your upper-body workout.
Be sure to measure your door before purchasing, but most cases should be perfectly fine. This is a very sturdy piece of equipment and there's no reason to get your pull-up bar from anywhere else :) I've seen the suction/tension bars and those make me very nervous. This bar works off of some simple physics and force distribution and as long as you don't use it backwards you won't be breaking anything or falling off of your door any time soon. Great pull up bar for the money 5 out of 5
I just got this pull up bar last week, and up to now I am completely satisfied with it. You have to assemble it yourself, but after 20 minutes or so, you can go ahead and use it for your workout. As an extra precaution, I have decided to put folded hand-towels on the sides in contact with the doorframes, as it will apply force to those areas (it is parts of the physics of being able to hold your weight against a doorframe), so no complain on that aspect, just a recommendation. I like the ability to be able to perform pull-ups in different positions (extended overhand, directly upwards, hands facing one another). Definitely glad to have made this purchase. So far it works like the commercial, except I'm slightly less cut up than the the dude on TV. It has only been four weeks, maybe I'll get more pumped. No problems with the equipment or damage to the door frame.
