I was taking this vitamin for a while before I noticed it contained iron! It had never occurred to me to check, as this was Centrum Silver - ie, for women over 50! I find this astonishing & incomprehensible. Why would anyone add iron to a formula for women over 50? The majority of us have already completed menopause & for many of us there was no need to take iron supplements even prior to that. Too much iron can be dangerous; you don't know unless you've had your blood tested whether you may have a condition that causes your body to produce too much iron. No one should be taking an iron supplement unless you have been diagnosed as anemic. I liked all of the other ingredients in this vitamin & now will probably have to find another brand to get something similar without iron. It's very disappointing.

I've been using centrum silver and decided to try this new women's formulation. Purchasing it in this quantity (200 tabs) is economical over what might be paid locally, - I won't keep running out every 2 mos, and the tablets are easy to swallow.

Nutrients include 800 mg. of vitamin D, 100% of vitamin B12 (good for vegetarians/vegans), and half the daily recommendated dose of calcium. If you should not have iron, this preparation is not for you.
