This USB Hub was reasonably priced and features on/off switches and power lights. It was a cinch to install and does what it is supposed to do. The cord for it was fairly short.

I plugged this in when I upgraded to a usb 2 card on my old computer. Everything seemed to be working just fine until I got back from lunch today and smelled a strange electrical wire smell in my office. I checked the new external hard drive that I bought at the same time as I bought this hub and it was just fine. I continued to look and smell around, and found that the bottom of this hub had melted, right in the middle. I unplugged it and through it away. $8.00 bucks down the drain, you get what you pay for. The 6" cord was way too short anyway.

Exactly what I was looking for. Works as it should. Computer recognized it immediately. Just the way I like stuff....no surprises.

This mini hub has four ports, each of which has a controllable slide switch, which gives you control over which ports to remain open or not. And peripherals can be plugged in this hub as well. This mini hub does not draw power; it is only a connector usb to allow for additional space on your computer.
