Editorial Review: Sometimes slower is better - especially when it comes to the rate of protein digestion. While rapid protein absorption is desirable immediately before or after exercise, delayed release is probably more beneficial throughout the remainder of the day.
Casein proteins are pH sensitive and gel in the acidic environment of the stomach. As a result, it can take more than twice as long for caseins to be broken-down into their amino acid subcomponents than whey and other proteins. Because of their unique time-released qualities, caseins are aptly described as anti-catabolic or muscle-protecting proteins.

This is one of the better tasting Protein shakes I have had, and I am not really into chocolate. I have been mixing with water, normal shaker cup and it really tastes great. I like the ON products, very little extra fillers and added sugars.

Amazon should really list the ingredients list for products like this. This product contains 10% of your daily sodium intake in the form of unnecessary added salt, artificial flavors, and also contains sucralose (Splenda). Why any "health" company thinks these are good things to be consuming is beyond me. Stick with the natural version if you must - which still has the salt issue.

Love Optimum Nutrition. Prior to purchasing this product I had only had ON whey protein and the consistency of the casein is much different. I would describe it as pre-refridgerated chocolate instant pudding. But I do find it keeps me very full for much longer than the whey protein. Definitely a good buy for the price and you can't go wrong with Optimum Nutrition!

i like it...it's yummy and i got it because my trainer said that it keeps you fuller a lot longer than whey protein. he was right.
